Every New Year we find ourselves making resolutions to get healthy or eat better only to ditch the “goal” by the third week of January. This year, however, is different from all the rest. If your New Year’s resolution finds you counting your calorie, macro, or amount of sugar intake then you are in luck.
Thanks to more and more people turning to vegan and or paleo diets it has become easier to find healthy recipes that actually taste good. I know who would have thought we would be talking positively about vegan food.
The first thing you need to do to maintain a healthy lifestyle is making sure you do not overly emphasize you are about to eat something healthy. As ironic as it sounds if you start telling yourself you are about to eat something healthy, your brain will automatically turn to negativity and say “yuck, you are about to eat something gross, let’s eat a doughnut instead”. Goodbye New Year’s resolution hello, guilt and regret.
Check out these 3 ingredient cookies below made with natural ingredients that will keep you on track to a better you while still being able to treat yourself from time to time. Just be sure to tell yourself you are about to make oatmeal cookies instead of saying “I am about to make healthy cookies”. Your brain and New Year’s resolution will thank you for it.
