The Light Side Of Dark Meat, Chicken Thighs In Rosemary Cream Sauce

If you pay enough attention to the internet, you might notice a common theme when it comes to chicken recipes. Most recipes use or call for white meat. The obvious being breast meat.

Chicken breasts are low in fat as well as low in tendons and connective tissue but they are not the perfect choice in all chicken recipes. There are many chicken recipes out there that hands down should only be made with dark meat. Anytime a recipe requires you to simmer the ingredients past 15 minutes.

Dark meat should be the go-to option.

This may seem like a no-brainer, but you would be surprised to find how many recipes out there use breast meat instead of using dark meat. One fine example for the proper usage of dark meat is chicken thighs in rosemary cream sauce. Chicken thighs are absolutely a must in this dish. They are first browned for both color and flavor than they are braised in a creamy sauce with rosemary and mushrooms, allowing all of the flavors to really come together.

The final dish is super rich but not to the point you need a nap after eating. Check out the video below from Eazy Peazy Mealz and then head over to the site for the full recipe which you will want to make tonight for dinner.
