I can confidently say I have eaten hundreds of stews in my lifetime. You could say I have tasted the rainbow when it comes to stews. The list covers stews from Latin America all the way to stews hailing from Africa and in between.
Some of these stews even varied in spices, vegetables, and protein. Some of the stews were made with seafood, chicken, pork, beef, goat, lamb, even vegetarian options. The list is quite extensive and for good reason.
There are a lot of people all over the world that love to eat food with lots of flavors and minimal effort. I can’t think of many other recipes that could be categorized any better than a stew. The simplicity of combining a bunch of ingredients into a pot or slow cooker, waiting a few hours while you go shopping, play video games, or run errands is hard to beat.
