It’s hard to believe you can successfully make restaurant quality baby back ribs with very little effort.
These ribs are so simple they will become your favorite recipe when in the mood for some BBQ.
Ingredients
Dry Rub:
- 2 racks baby back ribs
- 2 tablespoons garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons cumin
- 2 tablespoons smoked paprika
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon salt (divide into 4 equal parts-one for each side of the ribs)
- 1 teaspoon dry mustard
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 275°F. Combine your spices in a small bowl with the exception of the salt. Divide the tablespoon of salt equally so you can season each side of a rack (2 racks divide into fourths). Genoursouly season the ribs with the spice mixture on both sides. Allow ribs to sit out at room temperature for 45 min. to 1 hour.
- Place your ribs with the meat side up in a foil pan or a foiled lined baking sheet. Cover them with foil and bake at 275° F for 2 1⁄2 hours.
- Uncover the ribs, flip them over so meat side is facing down. Baste ribs with BBQ sauce and bake 10-15 minutes, flip ribs over to meat side up. Baste with BBQ sauce then bake another 10-15 minutes.
**Additional notes** If you don’t like BBQ sauce, remove the foil and bake ribs uncovered 15 minutes. Flip them over and bake another 15 minutes. Serve with whatever sides you like most.
