Ringing In The Holiday Season Witch Chocolate Almond Toffee

Christmas is almost here which means it’s the time of the year to start spending more time near the oven. It’s my favorite time of the year not just for the presents but because of all the amazing baked items and candies that come along this time of year.

We are all allowed to enjoy life a little bit so there is nothing wrong with sampling various desserts and candies brought into the office or holiday party.

Sure, you could bring in the almost comical tin of multiflavored popcorn but what about something more personal? A few really solid ideas included a batch of homemade cookies, peppermint bark, and the reason why you are here in the first place; chocolate almond toffee. Toffee is one of the staple holiday homemade candies that makes a great present but when you cover it in chocolate and sprinkle some Almonds on top in only gets 1000% better.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup whole raw almonds
  • 1 cup butter, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups milk chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup finely chopped almonds (or pecans)
