I have always been a fan of combining the delicate salted meat known as prosciutto with a sweet element. The most common and also most played out is the combination of prosciutto with melon. Still great but as mentioned, a little over done.
There is also prosciutto with figs, which is stellar and lets not forget prosciutto with dates. All of these pairings work really well and when you execute this dish it will be like 4th of July fireworks but in your mouth!
