Peruvian Grilled Chicken With Aji Verde (aka Green Sauce)

We all have our favorite ethnic cuisines. Some of us love digging into giant bowls of Asian noodles or eating with our hands at an Ethiopian restaurant. No matter what your favorite ethnic cuisine maybe, we can all agree it’s worth experiment with food and trying different geographic dinners.


One of my favorites ethnic cuisines happens to be Peruvian food. It is one of those latin cuisines that vary widely depending on which part of the country you visit. Some areas focus more heavily on seafood while other areas focus more on grilled meats. One thing is for certain, regardless of which part of Peru you visit; the flavors must be bold and memorable.

Believe me, after your first stint with Peruvian food, you will be hooked for life.

In speaking with different people, I noticed one common theme. Not very many people are familiar with Peruvian food.

Given the robust flavors of Peruvian food along with the many foreign influences seen in the cuisine. I find it hard to believe that very few people have had the pleasure of trying some of Peru’s most delectable dishes.

It’s almost depressing, really.

Luckily, we are finally reaching a point in which Peruvian food is making its presence known in the world of restaurants and food blogs. Restaurants are also starting to pop up in greater numbers than they did before which can only mean one thing. Peruvian food is becoming the new cool kid in town.
