When it comes to dessert, it’s hard to pass up on indulging in European creations. There are too many European countries and dessert to list so we will focus our attention solely on the country of Italy for this article.


As you know Italy is famous for many things, coffee, fashion, and food (as a simple summary of the many, many foods that come from Italy). Despite Italy having many wonderful desserts, panna cotta is one that often is overlooked.

There is probably a number of you who are reading this article and wondering what panna cotta is in the first place thus proving my point even further. The word panna cotta literally translates to cooked cream in English and is similar to a cross between jello and a creme brulee. The desserts are often flavored with rum, coffee, or vanilla but can be flavored with just about anything.
