It may sound crazy to say that eating beef for dinner makes for a light dinner but it’s true. The Mediterranean encompasses various countries and cultures but one thing is common. Everyone who lives in and around the Mediterranean eats light foods which include vegetables, meats, fruit, and seafood.
It’s very warm in the Mediterranean so people do not usually eat foods that a rich and hearty to stay warm. If you happened to live in say a mountainous region that gets snow and temperatures tend to plummet. You will want to eat foods high in calories and or served as a soup or stew to stay warm but that is not the case throughout the Mediterranean.
The trick to this meal is making sure you do not eat more than 8oz of beef. Stick with 4-6 oz, serve it with a greek salad or roasted veggies and you have everything necessary for a light and satisfying meal.
