Apple turn overs are the next item but it’s difficult to pin point the exact origin because several European countries serve them. They were originally stuffed with meat and over time fruit was used which lead to them being stuffed with apples. Depending on the country you visit, they can be made with pie crust (aka flaky crust), phyllo dough, or puff pastry.
