This sweetbread nugget recipe is quite long so it was broken into two parts to make it easier to pull off.
Ingredients
- 1 lb sweetbreads, lightly rinsed and cut into 1-inch chunks
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons onion powder
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- salt and pepper to taste
Honey-mustard dipping sauce:
- 1/3 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons whole grain mustard
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- salt and pepper to taste
- vegetable oil for frying
