A Crunchy Fried Chicken BLT To Avoid The Fast Food Line

I highly recommend you try making this sandwich according to the recipe at least once to get the hang of it and so that you can make notes if you want to adjust the seasoning on the chicken to your liking.


After you have done that, feel free to change the sandwich as you wish or you can try the two sandwiches mentioned on the previous page. If you decided to make the bacon chicken ranch or buffalo chicken sandwich previously mentioned, skip the step below for the sauce to the crunchy fried chicken BLT.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 6 baby dill pickles, coarse chopped
  • 1 teaspoon brine from dill pickle jar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon yellow mustard
  • freshly ground pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Mix all sauce ingredients together in a small bowl. Refrigerate until ready to use.

Assembling The Sandwiches

Ingredients 

  1. 2 hamburger buns
  2. 6 pieces of bacon, fried until crispy
  3. iceberg or romaine lettuce leaves, washed and patted dry
  4. 1 Roma tomato, thinly sliced
  5. 2 slices sweet onion (such as Vidalia or Maui) optional

Instructions

  1. Spread sauce on hamburger buns. Top bottom halves of buns with the fried chicken breasts followed by the tomato slices, lettuce, bacon and onion (if using.) Top with bun tops and serve immediately.
  2. Enjoy!
