Every now and then you come across a dessert that makes you say, “holy crap, I’ve got to make that”. Southern Caramel Cake is one of those desserts. I actually had to watch the video twice just to make sure my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me.
My eyes were not deceived.
Everyone can agree that cake out of a box has its perks. You don’t need to measure much, you usually only need oil, eggs, and water, and the consistency is damn near perfect every time.
There is a major drawback, however, box cake tastes like a box cake. Meaning there is something artificial about it, it’s almost too perfect.
