Everyone Loves Fried Chicken, But Have You Tried It The Japanese Way?

Fried chicken is great until you try the Japanese version of the dish. In Japan, they don’t make fried chicken. They make Karaage, pronounced ka-rah-gee.  Karaage is similar to tempura except it does not require panko.

The meat is often marinated prior to frying and then it is breaded in flour or potato starch. Frying chicken this way is not only flavorful, it’s addictive.
