The “Fried” Chicken That Closely Resembles KFC, But Is Way Healthier!

KFC is known to be a little controversial, we all remember the double down right? For those of you unfamiliar with this nightmarish culinary abomination.

It’s a “sandwich” made up of two original recipe chicken breasts that are held together with two types of cheese, bacon, and the Colonel’s secret sauce. The sandwich was controversial because of its health implications such as the entire sandwich containing over 1300 mg of sodium per serving.

By the way, yes, I totally at the F#&@ out of one of these when they were trending on social media. It was for research!

They were impossible to avoid thanks to Youtube. Videos were going viral with people eating these monsters. Stephen Colbert even helped get more attention to these things when he at one on his former show the Stephen Colbert Report.

Despite some KFC controversies, they are known to serve some of the most flavor fried chicken on the planet. We all know this is thanks to their secret spice blend for which food blogger after food blogger has tried to recreate.

I am happy to say there is a “fried” chicken recipe that has achieved a pretty close resemblance to the Colonel’s secret recipe and it’s damn good. Head on over to the next page for the full recipe and find out how this recipe was made healthy.

Hi Joyce, dusting the chicken with flour allows the eggs and bread crumbs to stick to the chicken and form a really nice crust. Not required but it does help.
