Pizza, can’t forget about pizza and how amazing this pie can be any time of the year. In the U.S. pizza is served with a ton of toppings and so much cheese high in fat that oil literally pours out of it when you bite into a slice.
In Italy pizza is served on a thin crust and it can be eaten one of three ways. A marinara pizza consists of a thin dough with classic marinara sauce. The toppings include garlic, oregano, and basil, and extra virgin olive oil, (remember the talk about olive oil?).
The Margherita, is marinara, mozzarella di bufala, basil, and olive oil. Lastly you have Napoli style pizza. People in Napoli enjoy eating a Margherita pizza that includes capers and anchovies.
