I always like to give a little background story on recipes that are not so common. Unless you a true gourmand, foodie, and or food connoisseur, which is basically saying the same thing three times. You may have little to no experience with the Waldorf Chicken salad.
The original recipe dates back to 1896 where it was invented at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York City. At this point you probably think ok, so some fancy Chef in a very fancy hotel made a fancy dish. Wrong! It was not the chef who came up with the salad but rather the maître d’hôtel, Oscar Tschirky.
Sure, the salad still has a fancy origin and the mere name invokes you wanting to get up from your chair to do a Waltz. Who am I kidding, you will probably get out of your chair to do the chicken dance. Get the full recipe as well as some bonus ideas on the next page. [nextpagelink][/nextpagelink]
