I have however tried beignets in various restaurants across the US as well as the uber delicious and my personal favorite, Mickey shaped beignets at Disneyland. On a quick side note there is a long time rivalry amongst Disney fans as to whom serves the best beignets within the park. This however will be a post for another day.
Disney beignets are so well known they have even made a guest appearance in the famous Disney movie The Princess And The Frog. I still have a hard time watching that movie with my daughter because it sends me into beignet withdrawal for months. Get the beignet recipe on the next page.
